Highlights of 2017

 BERLIN – 22 December 2017. As 2017 is coming to an end, the FiTI International Secretariat looks back at the many highlights of this exciting year for the Fisheries Transparency Initiative (FiTI) in a short summary.

The 2nd International Conference of the FiTI, kindly hosted by the Indonesian Government on 27 April 2017 in Bali, was a major milestone for the initiative.

We were also proud to witness the adoption of the first global FiTI Standard and to launch the 1st International Board of the FiTI during the Conference. The adoption of the FiTI Standard and the establishment of the first International Multi-Stakeholder Board marked the beginning of the implementation phase.

We hope you enjoy remembering these highlights and wish a joyful holiday season. We are looking forward to further collaboration in 2018 with the FiTI pilot countries and with all interested stakeholders throughout the globe.
