Funding

As an international not-for-profit organisation, the Fisheries Transparency Initiative relies on the support of philanthropic donors, charitable contributions and government grants.

From June 2015 until December 2019, the German-based non-profit organization Berlin Governance Platform (formerly know as HUMBOLDT-VIADRINA Governance Platform) acted as the fiscal host for the FiTI.

Since January 2020, the FiTI is legally institutionalised as a non-profit, non-governmental association in Seychelles under Seychellois law.
